Thermal Imaging

Thermal imaging works by using infra-red technology allowing the subtle temperature differences at the skin surface to be seen.  The presence of heat and cold can provide a good indication of what is occurring in the underlying structures as the body responds and adapts to stressors. 
This clinic offers a special thermal imaging room, which controls environmental factors, i.e. ambient temperature and wind.  Imaging of the horse is carried out by our trained technician and the images can be made available to your vet for interpretation.
